Worcester Allotment Forum are seeking £2,000 for restoring hedges on allotment sites and a promotional program for organic gardening
The Forum plan to restore existing hedgerows and fences and to produce promotional materials and info packs for the public including schools.
As well as a place where one can grow fruit and veg, allotments are also havens for flora and fauna in otherwise built up areas. This project is designed to include the community in preserving Worcester allotment sites as semi rural areas. Funds will be used to re-establish declining mature hedgerows, plant trees, provide wildlife habitat, and put together promotional materials and display boards, to promote organic gardening techniques.
