The Baby Naming Society are seeking £250 for a new binding machine

We help parents to arrange a naming ceremony to welcome a new child into the family. The idea was designed for those who don't feel a traditional ceremony is quite right for them. BNS is completely independent from any party or philosophy which is happy to design both religious and non-religious occasions.

The ceremony is an opportunity to announce the name for the baby, and an occasion to make promises to the child about what you hope to be as a parent and how you will care for his or her long term welfare.

Ceremonies may include for example;

Appointment of Godparents (or other titles).
Promises about their special relationships with the child
Readings, prayers, symbolic actions and music.
Renewal of parents marriage vows, or commitment to each other.

The design is up to you, with your choice of venue.

BNS will:

Prepare a script to your design and a formal program to ensure smooth running of the ceremony.
Provide Advice on who to lead the ceremony.
Prepare and provide a Certificate for the child to see when older.
