Duckworth Worcestershire Trust are seeking £2000 to restore historic wildflower hay meadow for the use of the local community and schools
Chapter Meadows is a historic wildflower hay meadow with archaeological interest to the site. Previously owned by Dean and Chapter the land was tenanted to local farmers for hay and cattle grazing. The sites situation and use has provided an island of historic rural England within the city of Worcester.
This project has been set up to provide resources for the local community and schools to work in and learn from this important site. Groups will monitor the wildlife using survey equipment and reference materials provided by the project.
Tools funded by the project will be used to make bird boxes, ponds, plant trees and lay hedges.
