Worcester City Volunteer Bureau - MINOR TASKS SCHEME are seeking £500 to buy tools

Worcester City Volunteer Bureau recruits, places supports & trains volunteers. We also provide direct services to individuals/communities using volunteers.

One of these projects is the Minor Tasks Scheme whereby we recruit volunteers to undertake painting or gardening for elderly/disabled people who are unable to do the work themselves and who have no immediate family able to help.

For decorating, we undertake emulsion of ceilings - walls, glossing for doors & windows - only internally, no wallpapering & no long drops i.e. Stairwells. Clients have to provide the paint.

For gardening we cut lawns, weed, trim hedgerows, general tidying & clearing up.

The money would be used to purchase more tools especially shears, forks, rakes, mower etc as well as brushes, dust sheets etc. for the painting.
